I am a physicist and a programmer. I received my Ph. D. in theoretical physics in Wroclaw, Poland. After many years of doing research in such exciting areas as supersymmetry, supergravity and superstrings, I decided to switch to programming. I worked at Microsoft, leading a small group that created the Index Server. After quitting Microsoft, I started my own software company, Reliable Software, where I am leading the development of a version control system called Code Co-op. In my free time I write a book on programming, to be published by Addison Wesley in 2000. I teach computer graphics at DigiPen Institute of Technology and I visit my old Alma Mater in Wroclaw and give guest lectures there.

I also enjoy writing, drawing, painting and music. When I was a student in Poland, I worked in a little campus radio station, DeSA Radio. I was a co-author and a performer in a weekly satirical magazine called "An Intelligent Magazine". After taking creative writing courses in Seattle, I even had some of my poetry published. My favorite pastime is pitbull wrestling.

What I bring to DreamCircle is common sense and the sense of humor (I don't think you can have the former without the latter).

Here's something I came up with while taking a shower.

With Cold Shoulder, Head's Getting Bolder

With the unfortunate passing of Mr. Shoulder, the head of Head and Shoulders, Mr. Head will now shoulder the responsibility of heading the company. Mr. Shoulder was riding his motorcycle, heading south on Hwy 101, when the vehicle suddenly veered into the shoulder throwing Mr. Shoulder, head-first, into a boulder.

Mr. Shoulder's son, the other Shoulder of Head and Shoulders, said in an interview, "I noticed recently that my father, the older Shoulder, was getting bolder but I didn't expect this."

An anonymous Head and Shoulders executive said to us, "Now, with the older Shoulder heading for a colder place, we have to make sure the hot heads in the company don't get bolder."
